Luther Lawrence Talbott, Jr.

Luther Lawrence Talbott, Jr of South Boston passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 68.  He was born in Halifax County on December 2, 1954 to Luther Lawrence Talbott Sr and Janice Claiborne Talbott and was married to Emily Tuck Talbott.

Luther worked in construction for many years before becoming a fabricator with Slagle's Fire Equipment for 17 years.  He loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Emily; sons, Dwight (Kelly Puryear) and Stephen (Lauren Milam); close cousins, Billy Claiborne and Robin Jones; and other family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Virginia Jones officiating.
