Mack Ronald Cobb

GREENSBORO, NC - Mack Cobb was called home by the Lord on December 7, 2016 at the age of 82. Mack passed peacefully surrounded by family. Mack is survived by Linda Morris Cobb, his beloved wife of 36 years. He is also survived by a son, Randall Cobb of Charlotte, NC; a stepson, Chris Penzer and wife, Amanda Franklin Penzer of Summerfield, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Penzer, Jamie Cobb, Taylor Penzer, and Cody Cobb; former daughter-in-law, Haley Friend; sisters-in-law (his inherited sisters), Evelyn DuPont, Shirley Davis, Dot Hilty and husband, Don; numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Connie Fleshman; and his beloved pets, Buddy, Sarah, and Willy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Fula Stevens Cobb and an infant daughter. Mack was patient and kind, with a gentle spirit and loved his family dearly. A jack of all trades, he was an electrical engineer, a masterful mechanic, avid golfer, enjoyed woodworking, reading and spending time with his grandchildren. Mack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Chester officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
