Clarksville, VA. - Mackie Ray Fuller, 85, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston.He had been in ill health and living at Sentara Meadowview Terrace nursing home in Clarksville.Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Simmons Fuller.He is survived by step-daughter Dr. Hollis Lowery-Moore, of Austin, Texas, step-son David Lowery, of Austin, Texas, and Mark Lowery of Clarksville.Also surviving are his step-grandchildren Meghan Lowery, David W. Lowery, Anne Katherine Moore, Elizabeth Neff, Jason Lowery, Evan Lowery, and step-grandchildren Collins Kennedy Neff and Caleb Lowery Neff.As well as numerous nephews and nieces and other Fuller family relatives.Mr. Fuller was born March 24, 1930.He served in U.S. Army and for many decades worked with his brothers and sister at Clarksville Cleaners on Virginia Avenue.A visitation will be held at Watkins Cooper Lyons Funeral on Wednesday, July 15, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.A graveside service at Oakhurst Cemetery will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mr. Mackie Ray Fuller to the Lake Country SPCA, 11764 Hwy 15, Clarksville, VA 23927 and Buffalo Baptist Church, 803 Buffalo Church Rd., Buffalo Junction, VA 24529.
