Mae Daniel Moorefield

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Mae Daniel Moorefield of South Boston, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the age of 97. Born in Granville County, NC, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Daniel and the late Emma Meadows Daniel. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lee Moorefield, Sr. Mae was a retired employee from Burlington Industries with 40 years of employment. She was a member of McCanless United Methodist Church. Survivors include sons, Allen Lee Moorefield, Jr of Pennsylvania and Kay Stark of Oxford, NC; brother, Roy Lee Daniel of Rougemont, NC; sister, Helen Jean Stamp of Maryland; 8 grandchildren; great grandchildren and care providers and special friends, Susan and Joe Smith and Jessica and Rebecca. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Reverend Raymond Wooten officiating.
