BUFFALO JUNCTION - Mrs. Maggie Ann Dunn Overton of Buffalo Junction, VA died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the age of 79. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on October 5, 1936 to the late Richard Lloyd Dunn and the late Elosie Thomas Dunn and was married to Willie Lee Overton. Maggie Ann was a member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle and a 1954 graduate of Clarksville High School. She was a retired office manager for Davenport Energy. Mrs. Overton is survived by her husband, Willie Lee Overton; son, Anthony Overton and wife, Karen of Buffalo Junction, VA; daughter, Tamra Messing and husband, Paul of Richmond, VA; brother, William Lloyd Dunn and wife, Glenda of South Boston, VA; sisters, Louise Dunn of South Boston, VA and Myra Shelton and husband, Jimmy of Stoneville, NC; five grandchildren, Sarah Messing, Michelle Overton, David Overton, Emily Messing, and Thomas Overton; and special niece and caregiver, Donna Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Richard Dunn, Jr., Ollie Dunn, Rommie Dunn, Catherine Gosney, and Margaret Dunn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Todd McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Aarons Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home, 1627 Highway 58, Buffalo Junction.
