Maggie Whitlow Neal

Maggie Whitlow Neal, 86, widow of Thomas Walker Neal, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, VA. A native of Charlotte County, Maggie was born November 15, 1923 to Hurndon Charles and Mattie Cook Whitlow. She was a graduate of Randolph Henry High School with the Class of 1942; and was retired from Burlington Industries, having worked there for many years. A member of Antioch Baptist Church, funeral services will be held there 11 AM Tuesday with the Reverend Jane Lyon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Neal is survived by her daughter, Rebekah Sue "Becky" Neal of Red Oak; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas Walker Neal, Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Berkley Wayne "Buck" and JoAnn Neal of Red Oak. A granddaughter, Jennifer Neal of Charlottesville, VA; step-grandchildren, Roger Wilson and Kimberly Gardner and 3 step-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hurndon Neal. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Monday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
