Malcolm Everett "Jack" Cole

Mr. Malcolm Everett "Jack" Cole, Sr. of 3125 E. Hyco Rd., South Boston, VA died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the age of 77. He was born April 16, 1934 to the late John Alex Cole and the late Ola Lowery Cole, and was married to Primrose Comer Cole. Mr. Cole was a retired Warehouse supervisor for Collins & Aikman Products Co. and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Jackie C. Smith & her husband, Gene of Bullock, NC; one son, Mackie Cole & his special friend, Patricia Wilkerson of South Boston, VA; two sisters, Nelva C. Lowery of South Boston, VA & Doris C. Purgason of Alton, VA; three grandchildren, Donna Tussey Kelly & her husband, Sean, Katherine Wilson & Chad Cole; one step-grandchild, Shelley S. Slaughter & her husband, Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Layton Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Felix Cole, James Cole, & Ramon Cole; two sisters, Daisy Averett & Viola Lowery; one half-brother, Floyd C. "Buddy" Cole; one step brother, Willie Adams; and his step mother, Bessie Canada Cole. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barbara Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Cole Family Cemetery in Virgilina, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm and at other times at the home.
