Margaret Shotwell Ford

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Margaret Shotwell Ford passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the age of 76.She was born on February 13, 1944 to the late Henry Alfred Shotwell and the late Gracie Virginia Lowery Shotwell.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Henry Ford. Margaret was a member of Alton Baptist Church and loved attending her church. She loved music, her friends and family, and her church and her faith. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Tammatha Smith and husband, Donnie, and Melinda Held and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Kimberly Foster and husband, Paul, Michael Evans and wife, Emily, Terry Clayton III, and Chelsea Held; great grandchildren, Madelynn Faith Hedden, Jesse Ramey, Joseph Smith, Taylor Evans and Grayson Evans; step greatgrandchild, McKenzie Snead; and brother, Alfred Ray Shotwell and wife, Bonnie. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Wayne Shotwell and sisters, Nancy Poythress and Erelen Shotwell. The family will have a private graveside service, however a Memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the home, 7202 Philpott Road, South Boston, VA.
