Margaret Conner Owen

Mrs. Margaret Conner Owen , age 62, of 3141 Thompson Store Road, Vernon Hill, VA, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Duke University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Emmitt Conner and the late Sallie Pat Moore Conner, and was married to the late Kenneth Calvin Owen. Mrs. Owen was a member of Centerville Baptist Church, and was a retired employee of J.P.S., Inc. Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Canada of Alton, VA, and Christy Kirchoff of Bland, VA; one son, Randy Roberts of Clarksville; three sisters, Betty Anderson of South Boston, Violet Landrum of Halifax, and Irene New of South Boston; one brother, John Henry Conner of Hampton, VA; and by six grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Marie Roberts, two sisters, Nancy Harris and Hazel Conner Clark McClure, and a brother, A.C. Conner. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Todd McClure Wednesday at 11 am. at Centerville Baptist Church with burial to follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10 until 11 am, and at other times at the home.
