Clarksville, VA. - Margaret Barksdale Woltz, 91, widow of Robert Wingfield “Bobby” Woltz, Sr., died at Sentara Meadowview Terrace on Sunday, July 5, 2015.She was born to the late Jones Harper, Sr. and Mary East Barksdale on June 6, 1924 in Pittsylvania County.Margaret received her B.A. in Education from Longwood University and served the Mecklenburg County school system for 25 years before retiring.She was a devoted member of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8163, the Ruritans Club and the local chapter of AARP.She also was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The funeral service will be held at Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church on Thursday at 11 AM with The Reverend John Bright officiating, interment will follow at Oakhurst Cemetery.Margaret is survived by her daughters, Margaret Rowland and husband, Kenneth from Savannah, GA, and Virginia “Ginny” Henderson and husband Carl from Saxe, her sons, Robert Wingfield Woltz, Jr. and wife Pam of Midlothian, and Benjamin Arthur Woltz and wife Wendy of Cary, NC and her sister, June Barksdale Moser of South Boston.She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Mia Woltz Peters and husband, Jeff, Jaime Lauren Woltz, Jessica Hope Woltz, David Benjamin Rowland and wife, Jade, Jeremy Christopher Woltz and wife, Melissa, Zachary Benjamin Woltz, Timothy Robert Rowland, Jeffrey Allen Rowland, Grey Wolfe Henderson, Sydney Woltz Henderson and two great grandchildren, Wyatt Jeffrey Peters and Bradford Allen Rowland.Also, a devoted friend and colleague, Jackie Lilly.Mrs. Woltz is preceded in death by her brother, Jones Harper Barksdale, Jr. and her sister Mary Jean Barksdale Perkins.The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
