Marguerite Hall Flippin

SOUTH BOSTON Marguerite Hall Flippin, wife of the late Otis Wayne Flippin, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019, at the age of 91. She was born on January 24, 1928, in Hampton, VA, to the late John B. Hall, Sr. and the late Adeline Lewis Hall.Marguerite was a retired small business bookkeeper. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, cross-stitch and gardening. She was a member of Fox Hill United Methodist Church. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Susan F. Galloway; sister-in-law, Mary Hall; nephew, John Hall (Suzanne); nieces, Joni Hall-Nate and Kate Trippick (Christopher); 3 great nephews and 1 great niece. She is also survived by special friends, Doug and Vickie Poole, as well as many other friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Flippin and a brother, Jack Hall. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2019, in the chapel at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home. The Reverend Randy Holmes will officiate the service. Interment will be in Clark Cemetery located in Hampton, VA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.
