Marie Hazelwood Martin

SCOTTSBURG Mrs. Marie Hazelwood Martin of Scottsburg passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 93. Born in Scottsburg on July 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Hazelwood and was married to the late Ollie Eugene Martin, Sr. Marie was a good Christian woman and a loving mother. She loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing clothes and making quilts and making a home for her family. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Katherine Hazelwood and Texie Snead; son, Ollie Eugene Martin, Jr and wife, Lilly; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Edwin O. Martin, Marion Martin, and Ronnie Martin; grandsons, Gary L. Snead, Jr and Jacob L. Hazelwood; great grandson, Cody Smith; siblings, Willie Hazelwood, John Hazelwood and Patty Stallings. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Clover Cemetery.
