Mariette Leclerc Schwarz

July 28, 1923 — November 24, 2004

Mrs. Mariette ?Butch? Leclerc Schwarz, 81, wife of Ralph A. Schwarz died Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at MCV Hospital in Richmond. Born in France, Mrs. Schwarz was a faithful supporter of Clarksville Presbyterian Church and taught French, her native language, for 10 years before retiring to become a homemaker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alain and Teresa Schwarz living in Hong Kong; grandchildren, Wendy Kennedy, Stephen Schwarz, Cindy Schwarz, Russ Vanner, Doug Vanner, and William Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Kennedy and Dillon Vanner; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Raymond. Butch was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne S. Lowery. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Monday at Clarksville Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dorothy Finn, Reverend David Booher, and Father Doug Geddes officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in St. John?s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Halifax. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Medical College of Virginia for their loving care. Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
