Marilyn E. Rathbun

Marilyn E. Rathbun of South Boston and formerly from Rhode Island, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the blessed age of 98.  She was born in Rhode Island on September 3, 1926 to the late William Kenyon and Hilda Sherman Kenyon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian "Speed" Rathbun.

Marilyn worked in textiles and she loved the Yankees and was a lifelong fan.

She is survived by a son, Aaron Rathbun and wife, Amanda; 4 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Kenyon and Dwight Kenyon; sister, Celia Grimes; and her beloved dog, Betsy.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 8 siblings.

There will be no services here but she will be taken back to Rhode Island and laid to rest beside her husband.
