SOUTH BOSTON Mr. Mark Randall Cole of South Boston passed away on December 25, 2018 at the age of 53.He was born on April 30, 1965 to the late Grady Talmadge Cole and Lillian Ann Woody Cole. He was married to Wendy Walker Cole. Mark was the owner/operator of Cole’s Gun Shop in South Boston. He was a graduate of Halifax County High School, class of 1983 and was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church. His hobbies were golfing, coaching, card games, and target shooting. He loved collecting and repairing old fashioned clocks. His favorite sports teams were the UVA Cavaliers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Mark was known to many as: Mr. Chained Blue Lightning, Stone Cole, Cole, Sikma and Cole Train. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Morgan, Thomas, Kimberly, Blair, and Lauren Cole; and a brother, Michael Cole. Funeral Services will be held at Black Walnut Baptist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Raymond Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Black Walnut Baptist Church, 10 AM – 11 AM. Interment will follow in Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery.
