Mark Anthony Day

Mr. Mark Anthony Day passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the age of61.Born in Halifax County on February 24, 1956, he was the son of the late Tigue Stover Day, Sr. and Myrtle Conner Day. Mark was a security guard at the Dollar General Distribution Center. He coached and also umpired baseball in local leagues and was a caller of bingo at the VFW. He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Conner Day; brothers, Tigue Stover Day, Jr. (Deborah), David Wayne Day and Kenneth Edward Day (Judy); nieces, Meredith Day and Nicole East (Andy); nephews, Scott Day and David Day, Jr. (Amber); and several great nieces and a great nephew. Graveside services for Mr. Day will be Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Boston with Reverend Jack Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside and other times at the home, 606 Riley Avenue, South Boston, VA.
