Martha King Jones

Mrs. Martha King Jones of Clarksville passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the age of 96. She was born in Warren Co., NC on March 6, 1921 the daughter of the late Robert Alston King and the late Nettie Ellen Wise King. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory C. Jones. A member of Ephesus United Methodist Church, she had a great love for fishing and all things outdoors and was loyal to her husband and his endeavors. Mrs. Jones is survived by a sister, Jean Harris of Winston Salem, NC; a brother, Stanley King of Littleton, NC; a sister-in-law, Joyce "Cookie” Jones Pharr of Clarksville; a brother-in-law, W. Lawrence Jones and wife, Mae of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 PM at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel. Burial will follow in Ephesus United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on Saturday.
