Mary Sadler Bass

Mrs. Mary Sadler Bass of 7040 Philpott Rd., South Boston, VA died on Friday, December 14,2012 at the age of 95. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on April 28, 1917 to the late Henry Ellis Sadler and the late Daisy Lowry Sadler and was married to the late William "Bill" Bass. Mrs. Bass was a member of Ash Ave. Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include two sisters, Myrtle Ray and Helen Owen, both of South Boston, VA; nine nieces; four nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, and eight sisters. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Halifax Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Eure officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 7 PM until 8 PM.
