Mary King Davis

VIRGILINA - Mary King Davis of Virgilina, VA passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the age of 91. Born in Halifax Co., VA on August 16, 1925 she was the daughter of the late William Bernard King and the late Gertrude Burgess King. Mary was a retired nurse and a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Baylous and husband, Wayne of Virgilina; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Earl Hunter, and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Cana United Methodist Church with the Reverend Randy Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home, 3139 Ramble Rd., Virgilina.
