Mary Frances Wilkins Caudle

Virgilina, VA – Mary Frances Wilkins Caudle went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the age of 81. She was born on June 4, 1937 in Halifax County to the late Charley F. and Nettie Gordon Wilkins. Mrs. Caudle retired from the Burlington Industries Clarksville plant and continued to work another 7 years at Meadowview Terrace before retiring completely. She was a member of Alton Baptist Church. Cherishing her memories are 3 daughters and sons-in law, Sandra and Charlie Phillips, Dolly and Tommie Glasscock, all of Virgilina and Cindy and Chris Conner of Cluster Springs; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.. She is also survived by special friends, Angie Powell and Dorothy Moorefield. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caudle was preceded in death by her son, Ira Edward Jones, Jr; a grandson, Charlie James “C.J.” Phillips, Jr.; her two brothers, Clarence and Herbert Wilkins, and her beloved friend, Ralph Tuck. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Alton Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Norman Talley will officiate the service.
