Mary Langford Hunley

Mary Langford Hunley, of the Cluster Springs community, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the age of 95.  She was born in Person County, NC on November 9, 1929 to the late Howard Langford and the late Jenny Walker Langford. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Merritt Woodrow Hunley.

Mary was a retired employee from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wilkerson & husband, Robert; grandchildren, Jennifer Edmunds (James) and Corbett Wilkerson; great grandchildren, Paul Edmunds, Caroline Edmunds, Lily Wilkerson and Harlee Wilkerson; brothers, Tim Langford and Johnny Mack Langford; and sister, Ethel Blacock.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Bill Langford, George Langford, Frances Gentry, Tex Wayne Langford and Carolyn Chambers.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Black Walnut Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 prior to the service.
