Mary Leigh Tilley Noblin

Mary Leigh Tilley Noblin, wife of the late Joe Noblin of Bullock, NC, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 99. She was born on August 9, 1923, in Granville County to the late Herbert and Ellen Woltz Tilley. Mrs. Noblin was a farmer’s wife and homemaker for many years. Later in life, she used her love for reading and writing by working as a teacher’s aide. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and her community. Mrs. Noblin was a member at Grassy Creek Baptist Church, where she was a well respected elder and involved in many aspects of the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Sizemore (Pete); grandchildren, Tim Sizemore (Wanda), Michael Sizemore (Debbie), Gene Sizemore (Amy); great grandchildren, Michael Dean Sizemore (Rebecca), Travis Sizemore and fiance Katie Campbell, Sammy Sizemore, Mackenzie Sizemore, Anna Sizemore Elliott (Colton), Lexi Sizemore and by great-great grandchild, Lawson Sizemore. Mrs. Noblin is also survived by a son, Jimmy Noblin (Rosemary), grandchildren, Keith Noblin (Nicole), Ken Noblin (Tina), Kim Cook (Wade); great grandchildren, Dustin Noblin, Ashley Benedict (Dustin), Daniel Noblin (Quincey) and Alex Noblin (Danielle); siblings, Billy Tilley and Margaret Brown as well as numerous step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also had a special caregiver, Willa Jean Richards. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Noblin was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Noblin and a brother, Henry Tilley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 9 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Cameron Currin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning one hour prior to the service.
