CLOVER, VA Mrs. Mary Mildred Conner Rickman, a homemaker, formerly of Clover, Va., died April 21, 2016.Born May 26, 1919 to Charlie Whitfield Conner and Elender Ligon Conner, she was married to the late James Thomas Rickman, Jr. Survivors include children, Mary Frances Gravitt and husband, Billy, James Thomas “Jimmy” Rickman III, and Carol R. Forren and husband, Allen. Also surviving are grandchildren, Matthew A. Gravitt, Sarah Gravitt-Baese, Dr. James T. Rickman IV, Walter R. Rickman, Victoria Rickman-Taylor, Michael A. Forren and Connor T. L. Forren; six great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth C. Wilborn and sister-in- law, Dorothy Payne; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Wynette Nichols, Lillian Roller, and Gladys Austin; and brothers, Clarence Conner, Ernest Conner, and Curtis Conner. Funeral services for Mrs. Rickman will be held Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3:00 P.M., at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Don Pizzeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 23, 7 to 9 p.m., at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home, 115 Main Street, South Boston, Va.
