Mary Eugenia Pulliam Walker

Mrs. Mary Eugenia Pulliam Walker of 4237 Harmony Rd., Alton, VA died on December 14,2012 at the age of 92. Mrs. Walker was born in Halifax Co., VA on November 15, 1920 to the late William Chesley Pulliam and the late King Nelson Pulliam and was married to the late Graham L. Walker. She was a member of Alton Baptist Church. Mrs. walker and her husband formerly owned and operated a country store in the Alton community. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Shotwell and husband, Bobby of Alton, VA; a son, Michael Walker and wife, Hazel of Winterville, NC; two granddaughters, Kimberly Wilder and husband, Alan of Wytheville, VA and Kaitlyn Walker of Winterville, NC; a grandson, Kevin Shotwell and wife, Anna of Alton, VA; four great grandchildren, Cole Wilder of Roanoke, VA, Woody Wilder of Wytheville, VA, Page Shotwell and Katie Shotwell, both of Alton, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Alton Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Wilder and Rev. Robin Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Patricia Shotwell,4241 Harmony Rd., Alton, VA.
