Mrs. Mary Webb Wray, 92, a resident of Onancock, VA for over sixty years, formerly of Boydton, VA, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was surrounded by her three children, Adelaide, Carol and Frank, daughter-in-law Shirley, her grandson Dr. Hollandsworth, and Pastor Welch and his wife, Jan. Born on July 1, 1917 in Boydton, she was one of seven children born to Lewis Presley Webb and Sally Robertson Webb. Mrs. Wray was a member of the Market Street United Methodist Church in Onancock for over sixty years; a lifelong member of the Daughters of the Confederacy; a skilled seamstress; a devoted church and community worker; and a loving wife and mother. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank "Pete" Wray. Surviving are three children, Mary Adelaide Wray Hollandsworth and her husband Robert of Onley, VA, Carol Wray Barrineau of Onancock, and Frank Alexander Wray and his wife Shirley of Parksley, VA; four grandsons, Robert Hollandsworth, his wife Margaret and their three children, Robert, Jr., John and Jenna; Dr. Thomas Hollandsworth, his wife Mary and their three children, Emma, Henry and William; Michael Hollandsworth, his wife Linette and their two children, Nathaniel and Hanna; and Charles David Barrineau, his wife Tiffany and their children, Connor and Ariel. Funeral services will be conducted form the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Robert Chapman officiating. Interment will be at the Boydton Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Boydton, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
