MaryLee E. Salb of Clarksville, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the age of 79. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on February 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Richard Salb and Suzanne LeTourneau Salb. Her family moved to Tipp City, OH in 1950 and MaryLee graduated from Tippecanoe High School. She was employed with Stouder Memorial Hospital (now Upper Valley Medical Center) for more than 46 years. During that time, she worked as a lab tech, an EKG tech and as a Treadmill tech. In 2007, the family moved to Clarksville. MaryLee volunteered with the Lake Country SPCA, serving for a while as secretary, and also worked with the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections. She will be remembered as a sweet, caring person who loved walking, crocheting and reading. MaryLee is survived by sisters, Suzanne Noviskey (Michael) and Kathleen Hill of Clarksville; niece, Dawn Kirk (Scott), great niece Sabrina Kirk and great nephew, Devin Kirk of Alton, VA; nephew, Todd Palilla (Colleen Wu) and great nephews, Nicholas and Jacob Palilla. Additionally, there are several cousins in Ohio and Wisconsin who survive. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, July 29 at Oakhurst Cemetery. The Reverend Jane Lyon will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Lake Country SPCA or a charity of choice be considered.
