Mason Richard Pulliam

VIRGILINA, VA Mr. Mason Richard Pulliam died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 73.He was born in Halifax County on November 24, 1942 to the late Walter Lee Pulliam and the late Alpha Omega Simmons and was married to Carolyn Fletcher Pulliam. Mr. Pulliam was a member of Union Christian Church and was formerly employed with Daystrom and then Loxcreen in Roxboro, NC.He was an honorary member of the Virgilina Fire Department. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ann P.(Casey) Tuck of Roxboro, NC; his son, John Pulliam of Virgilina; two grandchildren, Amber Tuck and Dustin Tuck;one great grandchild, Piper Saunders;sisters, Georgia Anderson, Ida (John Henry) Smith, Ruby Wade, and Betty (James) Smith, all of Virgilina. Mr. Pulliam is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Walter Amos Pulliam, William Lee Pulliam and sisters, Mary Lou Pulliam and Frances Pulliam Gittman. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Virgilina Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and other times at his home, 1050 Eighth Street, Virgilina, VA. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses.
