Maxie Callicutt Morrison

Clarksville, VA - Maxie Callicutt Morrison, wife of the late Elbert Fleming Morrison, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born on October 13, 1930 in Robbins, NC to the late John Currie and Jeanette McNeill Callicutt. Maxie worked as a Personnel Manager with Burlington Industries until the birth of her first child, at which time she devoted her time and energies to caring for her growing family. She was a member of Clarksville Presbyterian Church. Maxie Morrison is survived by sons: Keith Morrison (Barbara) of Clarksville, VA, Steven Morrison of Greensboro, NC, Michael Morrison (Denise) of Clayton, NC and John Morrison (Michelle) of Clarksville, VA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Chad Morrison, Paige Newman, Kristin Bradley, Kansas Morrison, Nicholas Morrison, Emily Grace Morrison and great-grandchild Rose Elizabeth Morrison-Denzin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 in the chapel of Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home located at 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA with burial to follow at Oakhurst Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
