Michael Wayne Comer

VERNON HILL, VA - Mr. Michael Wayne Comer of Vernon Hill, VA died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 26. Michael was born in Halifax Co., VA on October 11, 1988, the son of Teresa Comer and the late Sidney Wayne Barnette, Jr. He was a 2006 graduate of Halifax Co. Senior High School. Mr. Comer is survived by his mother, Teresa Comer of Vernon Hill, VA; son, Michael Freeman Comer of Clover, VA;sister, Kristen Comer (Travis Bowes) of Alton, VA; maternal grandparents, Jim and Virginia Beachy of Clover, VA; and special friend, Hailey Scott. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Wayne Barnette, Jr. and a grandfather, Freeman Comer. Funeral services for Mr. Comer will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2015 prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
