Michael Ray Floyd

Michael Ray Floyd, 60, husband of Jean Forrest Floyd, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Michael was born February 8, 1953 to Willis Randolph and Oma Floyd. He was employed for 19 years with the Ford Motor Company working in manufacturing; and he loved to fish and hunt. Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Reverend Jane Lyon officiating. In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Jen Floyd of Mayock, NC; daughter, Mendy Floyd of Chesapeake; stepchildren, Connie Holland and her husband, Alan, of Windsor and Milton Daughtrey of Clarksville. His brothers, Willis Randolph Floyd and Bobby Floyd, both of Chesapeake, four grandchildren, step-grandchildren, Tonya Holland of Windsor and Robert A. Holland, Jr. of Suffolk, and step-great-grandchildren, Madison and Bryce Turner and Robert Alan Holland, III also survive. Michael will always be remembered as a wonderful fun-loving person with not a worry in the world. He never met a stranger, so we know he will have many friends in Heaven.
