Michael Stephen Freeman

Boydton, VA - Michael Stephen Freeman, husband of Edna Osborne Freeman, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 63.He was born on May 8, 1953 in Farmville, VA to the late Susie Wheeler Freeman and the late James Lee Freeman.Mike was a 1972 graduate of Bluestone High School.He worked at BGF Industries for nearly 44 years in varying supervisory positions.He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Freeman is survived by his sister, Barbara Botros (Sherif) of Wilmington, NC; sister-in-law, Laura Lewis of Appomattox, VA; nephews, Lucas Botros (Christy) of Greensboro, NC and Brent Botros of Costa Mesa, CA and great nephews and niece, Harrison, Tucker and Anna Lee. The funeral service for Michael Stephen Freeman will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the chapel of Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA with burial to follow at Trinity United Methodist Church.The Reverend George Moore will be officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Country SPCA, P.O.
