Michael Carrol Hite

Michael Carrol Hite, age 69, of Virgilina, VA, passed away on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. He was born on Tuesday, March 29th, 1955 to the late William “Billy” Carrol Hite and Helen Blanks Hite.

Michael was a loving husband to his wife, Debra Moorefield Hite, and a devoted father to his son, Chris Hite (Norrissa). He adored his grandchildren, Dillon Hite (Samantha), Logan Hite, and Bradley Rozel (Abby), as well as his great grandchildren, Conner and Jackson Hite.

Michael was employed in gutter installation and was a member of Hitesburg Baptist Church. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was working in the yard, at the creek, or canoeing. He also enjoyed racing and cherished the moments he spent sitting on the tailgate of his truck talking with his buddies.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, May 29th at Hitesburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church starting one hour before the service at 2PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Reverend Ian Rigney officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hitesburg Baptist Church in memory of Michael Carrol Hite. Arrangements are being provided by Brooks-Lyon Funeral Home. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
