Michael "Mike" Lee Sutphin

Michael “Mike” Lee Sutphin of Clarksville, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the age of 59. Born in Charleston, WV on September 21, 1964, he was the son of the late Danny and Patricia McConnell Sutphin and was married to Debra West Sutphin, who survives. Mike was a hard-working husband and father with an unmatched work ethic. This was evidenced by his 39 years of employment with Altec Industries. He was an avid hunter and fisherman that enjoyed being outdoors especially mowing grass. Mike loved his family and friends and was generous to a fault, always willing to help when needed.

In addition to his wife of 38 years, Debra, he is survived by his children, Zachary Sutphin and Mary Lawson (Jacob); brothers, Timothy Sutphin (Jackie Crute), Shane Sutphin, and Alvin Sutphin (Dorothy); nieces and nephews, Brian Sutphin, Lily Sutphin and Savanna Sutphin and by an aunt, Diane Sanney. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Evie and Mellie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Laconia Hof located at 624 Laconia Road, Red Oak, VA.
