Mildred Murphy Rouse

Mildred "Miggie" Murphy Rouse passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born on April 11, 1938 in Greene County, North Carolina to the late William and Esther Murphy. She is survived by her beloved husband Harold Lester Rouse.

Miggie enjoyed spending time cooking and baking for others. One of her favorite past times was gardening, she had a green thumb and could keep anything alive. Miggie loved people and she enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Miggie is survived by her daughters, June Shingleton (Tommy), Edie Myers (Russ); two sisters, Peggy Collingwood (Clark), Billie Spitler (Ron); brother, Carl Murphy (Ginger); sister-in-law, Martha Lou Murphy; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Miggie was preceded in death by her brother, Dred Murphy.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Tungsten Baptist Church at 11:00AM with a burial to follow, officiated by Reverend Earnie Taylor.
