Minnie Forbes Smith

SCOTTSBURG Mrs. Minnie Forbes Smith, widow of Reverend Harold P. Smith, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the age of 87.She was born on October 28, 1932 to the late Isaac Reese Forbes and Beulah Hoarsley Forbes. She is survived by sons, Rick Earl Smith and wife, Libby of Chapel Hill, NC, Michael Warren Smith and wife, Gloria of Garner, NC, Christopher Duff Smith and wife, Glenna of Ft. Collins, CO and Jeffrey Parks Smith and wife, Peggy of Scottsburg, VA; 9 Grandchildren; and 9 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, a great grandchild and a brothers, Dan Forbes and James Forbes. A Private Graveside service will be held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Gastonia, NC. The family will accept friends at the home, 7011 Bethel Road, Scottsburg, VA.
