Mrs. Miriam "Sweet Pea" Guill Goodwin of 5224 Green Level Rd., Scottsburg, VA died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on December 27, 1933 to Orpha Snead Guill and the late Joseph Guill and was married to the late James David Goodwin. She was a member of Fork Baptist Church and was a retired cashier at Wal-Mart. Survivors include her mother Orpha S. Guill of Scottsburg, VA; two sons, Randy Womack and wife, Barbara of Chesapeake, VA and Tony Womack and wife, Karen of Lynchburg, VA; a daughter, Lisa Wade and husband, Jeremy of Scottsburg; eight grandchildren, Ryan Womack and wife, Christy, Wayne Womack, Tracy Womack, Sarah Newcomb and husband, Josh, Brandon Womack and wife, Melanie, Brooke Mask, Bobbie Lynn Wade, and Brennan Wade; and seven great grandchildren, Dustin Womack, Zachary Newcomb, Bentley Womack, Kristen Womack, Andrew Womack, Lydia Womack, and Aiden Womack. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, and three brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Murray and Rev. David Rathel officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Lisa & Jeremy Wade, 5121 James D. Hagood Hwy., Scottsburg, VA.
