Morris Gray Ashworth

Morris Gray Ashworth of Clarksville, VA passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 6th, 1949, he was the son of the late Marshall Anderson Ashworth and the late Erna Elliott Morgan.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Leigh Tuck Ashworth.

Morris was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church.  He worked with Bill Lewis Candy Company, Morgan Lumber Company, Tharpe Logging and finished his career with VDOT.

He is survived by his companions, Phyllis Smiley and Michael Smiley.

Morris is further survived by his sister, Phyllis Evans; nephews, Larry Dale Allen and Keith Tuck; and nieces, Lindsey Brown, Lynn Gill and Renee James.  In addition to his parents and wife, Morris is predeceased by his brother, Dean Ashworth

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
