Muriel Wynette Conner Nichols

Mrs. Muriel Wynette Conner Nichols of 355 Shady Grove Rd., Martinsville, VA formerly of South Boston, VA died Friday, December 7, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 5, 1922 to the late Charlie Whitfield Conner and the late Elender Ligon Conner and was married to the late Walter Wilson Nichols. Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker and a member of Dan River Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Nichols Wells & husband, Ernest C. Wells, III of Martinsville, VA; two sisters, Elizabeth Conner Wilborn of South Boston, VA & Mildred Conner Rickman of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, Anthony Shane Perry of Martinsville, VA, John Creighton Perry of Roanoke, VA, Alya Wells Shelton of Phoenix, AZ, & Joshua Louis Wells of Hardy, VA; three great grandchildren, Caiden Perry, Austin Perry, and Landon Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Curtis Conner, Clarence Edward Conner, & Ernest Hagood Conner; and two sisters, Gladys Conner Austin & Lillian Conner Roller. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Dan River Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dan River Baptist Church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday and on Monday evening, December 10, 2012 at the home, 1195 Wolf Trap Rd., South Boston, VA .
