Myrna Terry Jones

Mrs. Myrna Terry Jones of 1203 Bellevue Rd., Halifax, VA died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the age of 73. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on October 4, 1939 to the late Henry Paul Terry, Sr. and the late Fannie Snead Terry and was married to the late William H. "Bill" Jones, III. Mrs. Jones was a retired sales associate at Wal-Mart. She attended Ash Ave. Baptist Church where she was a member of the Jeannie Taylor Sunday School Class. Survivors include two sons, Calvin H. "Sput" Jones and wife, Angie of South Boston, VA and Michael Terry "Mike" Jones and wife, Sandra of Halifax, VA; one sister, Elizabeth Bates of Brookneal, VA; three grandchildren, Matthew Jones and wife, Megan, Sarah Jones and fiance, Tony Spencer, and Patrick Alan Jones; and one great granddaughter, Caitlin Comer. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry "Bossie" Terry, Jr. and Nathaniel "Nat" Terry, and one sister, Agnes Terry. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Ash Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Bill LaWall officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
