Nancy Dalton Mills

Nancy Dalton Mills, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 2nd, 1936, Nancy was the daughter of the late Willie & Rachel Dalton. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henderson Mills.

Nancy was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church and lived most of her life in Clarksville until she moved to reside in Danville, Va. A proud alumna of Chase City High School, Class of 1955, Nancy was a dedicated employee throughout her career, serving as an Office Administrator for Dr. Ben Judy. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and warm personality left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Nancy enjoyed golfing, bingo, singing, dancing and taking care of her family. She was known for her sassy sense of humor.

Nancy is survived by her loving daughters, Allyson Mills Bartley (Ray) & Jamie Mills Reynolds ( Charles); grandchildren, Ryan Bartley (Tomi-Lauren) & Evan Bartley and a step-granddaughter, Beth Wensko Wade who all brought immense joy and pride to her life.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Mills and a sister, Doris Dalton Johnson.

A Graveside service will be held at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

The family would like to thank the staff of Commonwealth Senior Living at Stratford House, SOVAH Danville, Roman Eagle Health & Rehab and Riverside Health & Rehab for their kindness and care shown to Nancy.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Cancer Society in Nancy's memory. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
