Nell Overbey Daniel

Nell Overbey Daniel of Virgilina went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age of 90. Born on November 16, 1932 in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Cephas Overbey and Mary Peele Overbey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hoover Daniel.

Nell was a homemaker, lovingly taking care of her family. She loved the Lord, reading her Bible and going to church; a member of Centerville Baptist Church and in her later years she attended Hitesburg Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Eddie Daniel (Tammy) and Carl Daniel (Phyllis); grandchildren, Lauren Daniel, Caleb Daniel, Brian Satterfield and Karen Hawley; great grandchildren, Khali, Kayden, Kayson and Kamden Hawley; and her special friend, Eunice Coon. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Norma Elliott, Laurence Overbey and Cephas Overbey and a grandson, Cody Daniel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
