ALTON Mrs. Nell Talley passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the age of 74.She was born in Halifax County on August 26, 1947 to the late Mitchell and Lodema Landrum Wilkerson and was married to Lawrence Wayland Talley. Nell was a retired medical secretary and was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church.She loved to read, play the piano and most importantly loved her family and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Wayland; sons, Mitch Talley (Louetta) and Chris Talley (Lavonne); daughter, Robyn Poole (Justin); grandchildren, Justin Talley, Meghan Talley and Zoe Talley; great granddaughter, Loraine Talley; brothers, Lloyd Wilkerson (Alice) and Donnie Wilkerson (Joann); and her beloved dog, Charlie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Talley. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1-2 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1194 Snow Hill Road, Alton, VA.
