Mrs. Nellie Dayvault Ford of 523 Pine Rd., Halifax, VA died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the age of 94. She was born in North Carolina on May 3, 1917 to the late Clarence David Dayvault and the late Eva Lowery Dayvault and was married to the late Noel Thomas Ford. Mrs. Ford was a retired weaving instructor at Burlington Industries. She was a member of Ash Ave. Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Peggie F. Sibley of Halifax, VA and Audrey F. Redd of South Boston, VA; three grandsons, Charlie "Danny" McCormick, Douglas F. McCormick, and Craig T. Sibley; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ira David Dayvault and a foster brother, Jack Dayvault. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Eure officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
