Neva Elizabeth Lilly Currin

OXFORD, NC Mrs. Neva Elizabeth Lilly Currin of Oxford, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Baltimore, Md. on January 13, 1959 to Leroy Lilly and the late Barbara Lois West Lilly. Neva was the wife of Ronald Terry Currin and they were married July 5, 1980. Neva and Ronald owned their own store in Virgilina and later she worked at Bowens Mini Mart in Buffalo Junction for 17 years. She then worked at the Shell Convenience store in Oxford. She was very close to her granddaughter, Savannah, who was the light of her life. Neva never met a stranger, always had a smile and made friends with everyone she met. Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Ronald; daughter, Sarah Spruill and husband, Derek of Oxford; son, Matthew Thomas Currin of Oxford; granddaughter, Savannah; father, Leroy Lilly and step mother, Emma Lilly; brother, Lee Lilly and wife, Karen of Baltimore and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lilly. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, VA. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
