Nona Jennings

NATHALIE,VA Mrs. Nona Jennings of Nathalie passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the age of 82.Born in Campbell County on September 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Farris Tibbs Jennings and was married to the late Herbert Jennings. Nona was a member of Ellis Creek Baptist Church. She loved fishing, growing flowers and her family, especially her grandchildren that gave her many joys in life. She is survived by daughters, Audrey Jennings, Roxsy Dunkley and fiance, Ronnie Hazelwood, Linda Womack and Tammy Conner and husband, Dean, all of Nathalie; 10 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren and an announcement with another great grandchild on the way; sisters, Iris Crose and Maryleen Franklin; brother, Vernon Jennings; special sister in law, Madeline “Patty” Jennings. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lynwood “Pee Wee” Jennings and 5 brothers. Funeral services for Mrs. Nona Jennings will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel.Burial will follow at Ellis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times the home, 1055 Cora Watts Trail, Nathalie, VA.
