Odell Ligon Poole

Mrs. Odell Ligon Poole, 94, widow of Kenneth H. Poole, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville. The eldest of 7 children of William Henry and Harriett Slagle Ligon, she was born and reared in Buffalo Junction. Retired from F.T. Willis and Son Department Store, Odell enjoyed sewing, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. A member of Buffalo Baptist Church, funeral services will be held there 2:30 PM Wednesday with the Reverend William J. Bess officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving Odell are her brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Alice Ligon of Buffalo Junction; sisters, Lillie L. Murray of Virgilina, and Evelyn L. Williams of Richmond. Also surviving are 5 nieces, 7 nephews and several great nieces and nephews, including her special boys, Alec and Brandon Ligon. In addition to her husband and parents, Odell was preceded in death by a sister, Maybelle L. Long and brothers, Jack and Billy Ligon. The family will receive friends 7-8:30PM Tuesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
