Mrs. Orpha Snead Guill of 5224 Green Level Rd., Scottsburg, VA died Friday, April 5, 2013 at the age of 96. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on March 10, 1917 to the late Fitzhugh and Ella Heath Snead and was married to the late Joseph William Guill. Mrs. Guill was a member of Fork Baptist Church and was a sewer at Jonbil Garment Factory and a farmer. Survivors include ten grandchildren, Randy Womack, Tony Womack, Wanda Chandler, Dwayne Guill, Lynn Francis, Darrell Guill, Lisa Wade, Brandy Blount, Beth Pool, and Brittany Dudley; 12 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Charlie Lee "C.L." Guill, William Horace "Sam" Guill, and Jack Autry Guill; one daughter, Miriam "Sweetpea" Goodwin; one grandson, Heath Guill; and two brothers, Hugh Lee Snead and Floyd Snead. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Clover Cemetery with Rev. David Rathel and Rev. Aubrey W. Heath officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2013 at the home of Wanda & Mike Chandler, 3071 Dan River Church Rd., South Boston, VA 24592.
