Patricia Tuck Harris, 64, wife of Charles Wade Harris, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Patricia was born October 17, 1949 in Danville, Va. to the late Ammon F. and Alice Blankenship Tuck. She was a graduate of Bluestone High School with the Class of 1967 and received her Associate Degree in Criminology from Danville Community College. Patricia worked with Olan Mills Photography and at the Lake Motel but was employed for many years with Burlington Industries as an Administrative Assistant. She volunteered as an Adult Educator at the Pittsylvania County Jails. Patricia was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ammon Andrew, Sr. and Alice Tuck, of Dinwiddie, John Robert and Vivian Tuck of Buffalo Junction and Victor David, Sr. and Mildred Tuck of Virgilina. Her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Holden. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Oakhurst Cemetery.
