Patricia "Pat" Hazel Loftis

CLUSTER SPRINGS, VA Patricia “Pat” Hazel Loftis of Cluster Springs passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at the age of 79. Born in Halifax County of June 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Sally Loftis. Pat was a dedicated member of Black Walnut Baptist Church. She sang in the choir, made flower arrangements for the church and visited the sick and shut-ins. Pat was a former telephone operator and later a CNA at Woodview, and she was an excellent cake decorator. She was an inspiration to her family, so strong and brave. She had a great sense of humor and was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. Survivors are a sister, Janet Loftis Woody of Cluster Springs; nieces, Susan Rutherford and husband, Ray, Sr., Luanne Walker and husband, Tommy, Adrienne Blanks, and Angela Allred and husband, Mike; great nieces and nephews,Warren Rutherford, Jr and wife, Kristen, Josh Walker and wife, Kaci, Jordan Walker, Jill Walker, Ashlan Garber and husband, Dax, Tannar Blanks and wife, Taylor, Trevor Seate, Noah Seate, Collin Loftis and Chloe Loftis; great great nieces and nephews, Hadley, Bronwyn, Shanleigh, Will, Dannon, Jett and Nora; and a sister-in-law, Valrie Loftis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Rick” Loftis; and brother-in-law, James Woody. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 7:00 PM at Black Walnut Baptist Church.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 6:00-7:00 PM at Black Walnut Baptist Church.
