Patricia "Pat" Hale Pulliam

HALIFAX, VA Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Hale Pulliam went to her Heavenly home Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the age of 73. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on October 14, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ashley Hilliard Hale and the late Gracie Lee Boyd Hale and was married to Nelson Warren Pulliam for 33 years. Pat was a graduate of Tarboro High School and Edgecombe Community College where she received an accountant degree. She worked with Coca Cola in Tarboro, NC, B. R. Barger, CPA in South Boston and later Burnett & Snead in South Boston as an accountant. She was a volunteer with The Good Samaritan and a member of Alton Baptist Church where she served as a member of the WMU and past Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Warren; children, Richard Pulliam and wife, Windy of Haw River, NC, Nelson Pulliam and wife, Candee of Halifax and Tonya Allred and husband, Ricky of Elon, NC; sister, Carol Summerlin of Pine Tops, NC; grandchildren, Olivia Pulliam and companion, Tony, Logan Allred, Trent Allred, Austin Pulliam, Erin Pulliam, Noah Handy and Wyatt Handy; great grandchildren, Bennett and Dean; niece, Lisa Phillips and husband, Neal of Pine Tops, NC; great nephew, Sam Walston of Pine Tops, NC and great great nephew, Isaiah Walston of Pine Tops, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ashley Hale, Jr. and granddaughter, Casey Pulliam. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Alton Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Bowes and Reverend Bonnie Pizzeck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 2, 2017 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and other times at the home, 326 Poplar Lane, Halifax, VA.
